DMX Linear Actuator
Kinetic component

Offering a variable length with precise positioning, the DMX Linear Actuator can be used to facilitate wide-range spatial animations and synchronized physical shapes. The modular concept of the DMX Linear Actuator allows custom arrays and stacks e.g. together with stretchable fabric, custom fixtures or lighting modules to create imposing, unique kinetic installations. It is fully accessible via software like TouchDesigner, Madrix, MadMapper and many other applications supporting DMX512 or Art-Net output. The DMX Linear Actuator is available in the variants Slim (0.1 — 1.2kg push / pull) and Regular (0.1 — 3kg push / pull).

Technical specification

  • 10 — 50cm length
  • 0.1 — 1.2kg push / pull (Slim) or 0.1 — 3kg push / pull (Regular)
  • 0.1 — 40cm/s speed
  • Onboard Trinamic motion control
  • 5 DMX channels: 16bit Position, 8bit Velocity, 8bit Ramp / Mode, 8bit Reset
  • 12 — 24 VDC power supply
  • Controllable via the DMX LA Designer software
  • Available as Standard (DMX512) and Pro (Art-Net) version
