A virtual factory recreated as an AR experience and synchronized with its physical counterparts is showcasing Bosch Rexroth’s autonomous transport vehicle, the Active Shuttle, as the main protagonist. Visitors can explore the virtual factory in real-time by taking on the perspective of the Active Shuttle, discovering different areas and solutions of the Factory of the Future concept in a playful and interactive way. The real and virtual shuttles are always in sync, emphasizing Bosch Rexroth’s principles of flexibility, agility and digital transformation. The AR experience was initially meant to be displayed at Hannover Messe 2020 together with a physical concept factory, but was then adapted for pure online use due to COVID-19.
